Gima means ribbon in Japanese. This is a thin type of yarn about 1 mm thick. It gives a steady surface with a little bit of a paper feeling but yet very soft. This yarn mixes very well with other yarns and can be used in knitting as well as in crocheting or why not as an insert in a sheer fabric.
